Forward Draymond Green is one of the most outspoken players in the league, and he is one of the people in the league that is willing to interact with fans on a relatively regular basis. However, those interactions don’t always involve positivity, as a lot of fans are harsh criticism of him.
In a Tweet, one Golden State Warriors fan claimed that Stephen Curry is the GOAT for overcoming Draymond Green telling the opponents the team’s game plan. This was in response to a podcast segment from Draymond Green, where the forward simply stated that the team needed to get off to a good early series start against the Kings. Draymond Green blasted the fan, claiming that they should “just watch the game and cheer”.
Twitter user Unanimous CEO: “Steph really got a teammate telling the opponents game plans in the playoffs. He is really the GOAT for overcoming this.”
Draymond Green: “You calling this a gameplan is the exact reason you should just watch the game and cheer for whoever it is that you cheer for. Because you clearly don’t even have a basketball of a 3rd grader. Enjoy this old narrative though… again.”

It is easy to see why Draymond Green clapped back at the fan. He didn’t really give any specifics about the team’s game plan, rather simply stating the Warriors’ basic mission during the series. It is unlikely that the Kings’ coaching staff gained any important information from the podcast segment, and saying that Green is giving away the game plan seems like an exaggeration.
Draymond Green Wanted To Face The Sacramento Kings In The Playoffs Because Of Travel
Previously, Draymond Green claimed that he wanted to face the Sacramento Kings in a potential first-round matchup, as both teams are located in northern California, which means that there is a lot less travel.
“I’m not upset if the standings shook out how they did today, and we met Sacramento in the first round. Not because I think Sacramento is a weak team but because travel is so much easier. If you think about our road to winning the championship last year, it started with Denver, and then we went to Memphis… the travel that’s a lot on your body, and if we could take a bus an hour and ten minutes up the way then I think that’s much better for us.”
It will be interesting to see who prevails between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings. Both teams have high-powered offenses, and coach Mike Brown is the former assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors. Hopefully, we get a full seven-game series, and it is definitely going to be an exciting watch even for fans who don’t follow either of the two teams.
