Warriors veteran Draymond Green would have preferred if his team was the last one standing in the NBA playoffs this year, but it wasn’t in the cards for him after a series loss to the Lakers in the second round. Now, he’s just going to call it as he sees it.

While the NBA Finals are still actively going on, Draymond has officially seen enough to call it a series. Speaking on his podcast this week, he went on about the Nuggets and crowned them as the champs after the dominant Game 4.

“Your 2023 NBA Champion, Denver Nuggets, has been crowned. If you watched that game and it did not look to you as if the Denver Nuggets won a championship, then I don’t know what you were watching. Not that they’re looking past the next win that they need to get. None. of the ‘rah rah they sleep’ No, I told y’all. Denver has been finishing their breakfast. And last night, these last two games, was another example of that. They finishing their breakfast, they not playing with their food.”

The Nuggets are not going to coast for Game 5. In fact, with one win to go, we can expect Denver to come out with increased intensity to close out the series and finally celebrate what has been a fantastic season from start to finish.

Nuggets Are Ready To Make History

Nobody knows how long this Denver team will be competing for titles, but it seems like this is just the start of a long and prosperous era for the franchise. With the Nuggets on the cusp of achieving the ultimate victory, none of their players are taking this moment for granted.

“We’re just ready to win a championship,” said Murray after Game 4.

Jokic and Murray may be the best duo in the league at this point, and it’s been awesome to watch them work together to rip the NBA apart. Now, no matter what happens going forward, the Nuggets will be the team to beat in the West and Draymond probably knows that more than anyone.
