In a continuation of one of the league’s most intriguing rivalries, Draymond Green popped on his podcast (the Draymond Green Show) to settle the score with Jusuf Nurkic. Nurkic has gotten into a number of scuffles with Green this season and after his comments last week about Draymond “learning nothing” from his suspension, Green addressed the big man once again and even seemed to partially blame him for the severity of his “indefinite” suspension.
“The little guy goes to the media and says, ‘I take my words back; he doesn’t deserve another chance,” said Draymond. “It’s only a matter of time before you hit someone else, and quite frankly, I want to know, why is it only a matter of time before I hit someone else? Because I destroyed him? Because what in that game that happened with me would make you say something like that… other than getting embarrassed because you’re just not good enough? You’re not good enough offensively, you got Steph Curry on post-ups and you got nothing… but this is the same guy who laid out on the floor when I made contact. Bro, you 300 pounds, get up off the floor bro. if he doesn’t lay out on the floor like that, I don’t think I get the suspension that I got.”
Draymond then goes on to describe the “little man’s” actions during the game, breaking down one of the plays that went viral on X.
“Little guy tries to post up so I attempt to back him down, only to shoot a hook shot from the dotted.. which means you made no progress on getting to the rim, shoots a nasty hook shot for his 6th point of the game, which were his last points of the game, and decides to do an overly too-small celebration. Quite frankly, you’re just not good enough to do things like that.”

Jusuf Nurkic immediately responded to Draymond Green:
“All good bad boy just don’t stay to long on podcast, gonna be late for therapy session.”

Draymond and Nurkic have had a growing feud that dates back to when Nurkic was still with the Portland Trail Blazers. Whenever the two face off on the court, there’s palpable tension on the court and Draymond’s hit back in December only made their disdain for each other even worse.
Warriors And Suns Could Face In The Playoffs
As the 10th and 6th seeds in the West, the Warriors and Suns could be headed for a major collision course in the upcoming playoffs. Besides the situation between Draymond and Jurkic, there’s also the history between Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry that could set them up for an emotional matchup this spring. Even so, the two teams are in very different situations right now.
As a team trying to maximize what’s left of their championship window, the Warriors were thought of as has-beens before a streak of hot play put them back in the playoff picture out West. Meanwhile, the Suns are still trying to build their chemistry as they assimilate Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal into their system and culture. This season, only time will tell if either of them can make a memorable run this spring but a matchup between them is something that every fan is itching to see. No doubt, it will also be another chance for Draymond to make a statement against one of his biggest critics.
