The Golden State Warriors are widely viewed as contenders this season. There’s no question that they’ve been one of the better teams in the league over the majority of the season.
While the Warriors enjoyed some success this year, they have been struggling lately. Stephen Curry has been out for the team with an injury, after a controversial play from Marcus Smart. Without their franchise superstar, the Warriors have lost 3 games in a row.
Draymond Green went off on the Warriors after their loss to the Orlando Magic, claiming that they’re “playing soft” and “playing stupid”. Draymond Green also added that the team is simply “not playing good basketball”.
"We're playing soft. We're playing stupid. We're just not playing good basketball and we're getting punked. … No disrespect to the Orlando Magic but that's one of the worst teams in the league"

“We’re playing soft. We’re playing stupid. We’re just not playing good basketball and we’re getting punked. Hard to win the game when you’re getting punked. That’s kind of where we are right now… We’re losing a lot of fourth quarters… No disrespect to the Orlando Magic but that’s one of the worst teams in the league”
There’s no doubt that this was a rough loss for the Golden State Warriors. As Draymond Green said, the Orlando Magic are one of the worse teams in the league, and a team with Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins should have been able to get the win there. It is easy to understand why Draymond Green is upset with the way his team played. Hopefully, his words inspire them to play better to close out the season.
Hopefully, Stephen Curry will be able to come back healthy in time for the playoffs. The Warriors’ offense is clearly not the same without him. Draymond Green has previously expressed confidence in the Warriors championship hopes this season, claiming they would win it all no matter the seed they were in. We’ll have to wait and see if he’s right.
