Draymond Green and Team USA are currently in Tokyo hunting for their fourth consecutive Olympic Gold Medal. After a difficult first loss against France, they bounced back in spectacular fashion, defeating Iran in a massive blowout. The spotlight has been on players like Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal, whose futures are not certain while they represent their country at the 2020 Olympics.

At the moment, a lot of the chatter is around which players will be making a move this offseason to a new team. Both Lillard and Beal have been linked to almost every championship-contending team in this short time that the offseason has started. And while these two, among other players on the team, are under the spotlight, another Team USA member has been working to bring players to his team.

Draymond Green may be doing some extra work off the court to help the Golden State Warriors next season. NBA insider Brian Windhorst revealed on the ‘Hoop Collective’ podcast (at the 58:40 mark) that Draymond Green is actively trying to recruit players to come join him, Klay Thompson, and Steph Curry in Golden State. The Warriors are in the market for an additional star, and Draymond is trying to help reduce the front office’s workload by convincing his Team USA teammates to become his Golden State teammates.

“The rumor out of Tokyo has been Draymond is doing work… That’s all I’m going to say. The team-building is where Draymond is doing work.”

Green’s targets could be Lillard and Beal. Both players have been linked with a move out of Portland and Washington respectively. Furthermore, their game would fit perfectly with Golden State, as they are both excellent three-point shooters and offensive players. Warriors fans will be hoping that Green is successful in convincing them, as either Lillard or Beal would make the Warriors championship contenders once again.
