On Friday, Shams Charania reported that the Warriors would not be signing Dwight Howard. And on Saturday, the former Lakers and Magic man made a cryptic post, seemingly referring to himself as a Warrior.

“Only as a WARRIOR can one withstand the path of knowledge,” Howard wrote in a post. “A WARRIOR cannot complain or regret anything.

“His life is an endless challenge. And challenges cannot possibly be good or bad. Challenges are simply challenges. Go be GR8.”

Only as a WARRIOR can one withstand the path of knowledge. A WARRIOR cannot complain or regret anything. His life is an endless challenge. And challenges cannot possibly be good or bad. Challenges are simply challenges. 💯 🫵🏾 go be GR8

It seems that Dwight Howard has accepted that he will not be a Warriors player, and is simply finding his definition of the word. The team’s decision to not sign him will have stung, and the 37-year-old remains a free agent without an NBA team.

NBA Fans Reacted To Dwight Howard’s Wild Post

Saying something wild like this is far from out of character for Dwight Howard, he’s always been a little strange. And following his post on social media, fans had various reactions to it. One fan reminded him that he is technically not a Warrior.

They not signing you lol

Dwight Howard may be out of the league, but he is not without his fans. Even they seem to be accepting that he may not get an NBA role again though, as this one comment showcased.

Love u brother but ur washed

While fans can be quick to troll, there was wisdom in the message that Dwight Howard put out after the disappointment he faced. One fan agreed with him and even expanded on it.

Right. These challenges test our strength, resilience, and ability to adapt. Instead of labeling them as good or bad, we see them as opportunities for growth and transformation.

And while the Warriors and some of their fans may think they don’t need Dwight Howard on the team, there are still some fans who want him to join their team instead.

Lakers need him for playoffs. Only guy who can put a body on the Joker 🃏

Dwight Howard is an NBA legend and a future Hall Of Famer, but his immediate prospects seem a bit bleak now. If he is not ready to retire, then a return to playing overseas might end up being his only option once again.

Dwight Howard Might Have To Return To Taiwan For Another Season

Dwight Howard spent the 2022-23 season playing for the Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan. With the Golden State Warriors seemingly not liking what they saw from the former 3-time DPOY, it seems like he may have to play another season overseas.

Dwight Howard seemingly enjoyed his time in Taiwan, but he misses being in the NBA. Trying to recruit players to come play in Asia has been a constant for him over the last year, like the time Dwight Howard urged James Harden to play in Taiwan.

The former NBA champion played 20 games for the Taoyuan Leopards last season and averaged 23..2 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game. He can perform at the NBA level still but no team is willing to take a chance on him.

Dwight Howard has dealt with many snubs in the latter stages of his career, but he doesn’t seem to be giving up. If his words are any example, then it seems like Howard won’t rest till he can retire as a star in the NBA. Fans will be hoping it happens for him.
