A 3x All-Star and former NBA MVP, Knicks star Derrick Rose is a favorite amongst the fans, not only for his perseverance but also for his heart and passion for the game.

And while the 32-year-old has had a rather difficult path in the NBA, he’s having a pretty solid tenure with the Knicks this season, posting 14.8 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game on 48% shooting.

During Tuesday night’s game against the Lakers, Rose got some high praise by NBA legend Dwyane Wade.

“If you don’t like D. Rose, something is wrong with you. He’s that kind of guy. He plays with poise, with patience. He’s a great finisher. It’s great to see a guy at this point in his career, average 20 off the bench & be a big key to getting this New York team to where they are.”

Rose has always been that guy who comes in and gives his best effort on the court. No matter the situation, he’s always ready to go, and plays with a certain level of confidence and swagger that boosts his entire team.

While it’s easy to like Rose based on what he’s done in the past, he deserves some major credit for what he is doing now, in New York. As, arguably, their second-best player, he has the team sitting fourth in the Conference, with a 38-30 record.

Going forward, he will be key in how far they’re able to go.
