Dwyane Wade Roasts Paul Pierce On Twitter With Kanye West Meme After Heat Beat The Celtics

The Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat have played out a very hard-fought series in the Eastern Conference Finals this season. The series is tied at 3-3 after an epic Game 6 that saw Jimmy Butler explode for one of the greatest individual performances in the history of the Miami Heat. The Celtics were largely expected to take care of the Heat at home and advance to face the Warriors in the NBA Finals, but now a pivotal Game 7 beckons for both teams.

There has been a lot of chatter around this series. Draymond Green weighed in with a prediction that the Celtics would make it to the Finals, while the Heat’s legends have been in their corner throughout, primarily Dwyane Wade. And Wade had his chance to seize the moment after the latest win by the Heat, and he took it by using a Kanye West meme and directing it at Celtics legends Paul Pierce:

Pierce has thrown out some hot takes throughout his post-playing career and has been staunch in his belief that his former team would make it out of the East this season. The series has swung back and forth throughout though, and both teams are worn and dealing with various injuries to key players.

Game 7 promises to be a tense affair, even Game 6 went right down to the wire despite Butler’s immense performance, but the Heat will have home-court advantage, which is a huge factor in Game 7s. Jayson Tatum will have to step it up if the Celtics want to recover and make the NBA Finals, with a lot on the line for both teams.

Considering Draymond Green’s words, if Miami does make it to the NBA Finals to play against the Warriors, Wade and other Heat fans will have some memes and banter ready for the Warriors All-Star as well. As things stand, though, there is no way to tell which team will win this series, which is what makes it supremely exciting for fans.
