Successful as he’s been as an NBA player, businessman, and now analyst, Shaquille O’Neal couldn’t find the same consistency when it came to love.

The four-time NBA champion has always shared his regrets about the way things went down with his former wife, Shaunie Nelson, and recently claimed that she ‘blew’ relationships with two perfect women, adding Arnetta Yardbourgh to the conversation.

“I had two perfect women and I messed it up,” O’Neal said. “My first one was my baby’s mother, Arnetta, and then I met Shaunie. Shaunie was also a perfect woman, and I messed it up.

“Yeah, you know, we were young and always just doing dumb stuff. But, the good thing about our relationship is that they forgave me, and we have a good relationship now. But when you ask me about the perfect woman — I had two perfect women and I messed it up, just by, you know, being dumb.”

O’Neal reveals he’s trying to teach his sons how to treat women properly, saying they have three jobs when it comes to females: protect, provide, and love. He admits that most men always offer only two, but he’s trying to teach his kids how to give all of them and not make the same mistakes he made in the past.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend has always admitted that he would change some things he did in the past, but that’s not how life works. He’s still trying to make some changes through his sons, and that’s absolutely respectable.

Shaquille O’Neal Admitted He Was A ‘Serial Cheater’

Shaq knows very well that he’s not perfect by any means, and amid the Ime Udoka scandal, he admitted he was a serial cheater during his younger days. He’s not proud of that at all, but O’Neal knows that happened, and he can’t pretend it didn’t.

He remains a beloved legend by NBA fans and even people who don’t know with certainty who he is. O’Neal grew to become a very lovable person who doesn’t hesitate to help others.
