The NBA star has been one of the more politically active players and was recently in the news for slamming WNBA star Natasha Cloud over her criticism of the United States in the wake of key Supreme Court rulings earlier this week.

“Just ask your colleague Brittney Griner how ‘trash’ America is,” Kanter Freedom tweeted. “Calling America trash huh? Let me know when your season is over, I’ll buy your ticket and we can go together to counties like China, Russia, IRAN, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, & Turkey.

“People have NO idea how lucky and blessed they are to be in a country like America. I’m not saying America is perfect, but trust me, you don’t wanna see the other side.”

Enes has not played in the NBA for some time, but he still is one of the more prominent faces for his stance on political issues.

Enes Freedom Believes He Was Blackballed By The NBA

Freedom was waived by the Houston Rockets in February 2022 after the Boston Celtics traded him away. While he had some productive outings in the past averaging well over 15 points a game, he had fallen off quite a bit during his final year with the Celtics. And after being waived by the Houston Rockets, he received no offers from other teams.

On his part, Freedom claims he’s been blackballed from the NBA. “I could’ve played in the league another 6 years… you’re telling me in 1 year I forgot how to play basketball? That’s a lie… everybody in the NBA knows I am being blackballed.”

There is no way to verify any of the claims and the league denies that they have blackballed the big man. And at this time, there is no way to verify what’s gone on unless insider views come to the fore.
