Just moments after Damian Lillard confirmed his return to the Trail Blazers, his former teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo went viral after his wife, Mariah Riddlesprigger, stole his mobile phone when the couple was searching for a cockroach that hid in their house.

In the video, Antetokounmpo is seen hilariously looking for the roach in their house while his wife seems to be standing on a stool or a raised platform.

Giannis Antetokounmpo: “Please get out of the live.”

Mariah Riddlesprigger: “This will motivate you to kill the thing— this will motivate you, after what you just put us through, it’s time for you to get motivated. Move those shoes right there and see…”

Giannis Antetokounmpo: “Babe, will you please get down off that thing—the whole world is..”

Mariah Riddlesprigger: “What whole world? Oh, there are 26,000 people on it.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo: “26,000!? 26,000!?”

Mariah Riddlesprigger: “24, we’re going down. Dude, I’m not getting off of this.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo: “Wait, is this my phone?”

Mariah Riddlesprigger: “Yes”

Giannis Antetokounmpo: “Babe, get out of my—ah! I swear to god, you’re joking with me, right?”

*Mariah shows him the phone*

Giannis Antetokounmpo: “Babe! Get out of my— give me my phone! Give me the phone.”

Mariah Riddlesprigger: “No! Look for the roach!”

Giannis Antetokounmpo: “Ah! I’m done with you… After this, I want a divorce, I swear to god I’m not playing with you, get out of my live! Get out of my live!”

Mariah Riddlesprigger: “No, because we have to kill the roach, and this will motivate you to find it. You already got it trapped in here. Well, you could’ve killed it right here, but because you’re being scary, you couldn’t kill it. Now it’s somewhere in my closet.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo: “You’re saying this live, in front of 16 million followers… get out of my— please, get out of my phone.”

While the couple were hilariously quarrelling over the roach, the comments on the live section were flooded with takes on Damian Lillard joining the Trail Blazers and how hilarious the couple is being. Even the comment section of the X post was filled with reactions of fans who were laughing at how hilarious the couple is being.

“Giannis shouldn’t be threatening divorce like that so lightly.”

“Why is it so normal for them to threaten with a divorce? “

“This is gonna motivate to kill she says. Dame needs to watch his back.”

“That man got something to hide in that phone lmao.”

“Nahh.. I understand a roach getting in the crib every now and then (Vegas af), but going live to announce it is madness.”

Ofcourse, Antetokounmpo is not going to divorce his wife over this, but it is hilarious to see what the couple is up to in the offseason. Antetokounmpo married Riddlesprigger in September 2024 after a long-term relationship that also brought four lovely kids into this world.

Antetokounmpo is headed into the offseason as the last of the Bucks’ cornerstone pieces from their championship run in 2021. They let Brook Lopez walk in free agency and waived Damian Lillard to sign Myles Turner instead. The Bucks seem to be going into a full rebuild now around Antetokounmpo. Do you think he will stay in Milwaukee or ask for a trade soon? It will be interesting to see what the near future holds for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
