Funny NBA Fusion: Udoka Azubuike Is What You’d Get If Deandre Ayton And Zion Williamson Had A Child

2 Min Read

Udoka Azubuike was drafted by the Utah Jazz in the 2020 NBA draft with the 27th overall pick. The Kansas Jayhawks product is a very interesting player but fans haven’t talked about that a lot ever since he was selected.

Instead, they have been talking about how similar he looks to Phoenix Suns big man Deandre Ayton and New Orleans Pelicans (still) rookie sensation Zion Williamson.

NBA Buzz shared a very funny post about Azubuike, comparing him to the aforementioned players, stating that he looks like what you’d get if Ayton and Williamson had a child together.

You can’t deny the resemblance is there and is big. Sometimes the NBA can surprise a lot of people and this is another sample of that. The league is full of coincidences and even look-alikes, but this is a whole new level.

Azubuike’s scouting report describes him as “the most imposing physical presence in college basketball last season as his improved conditioning helped him use his unmatched combination of strength and length.”

He will try to bring that to the NBA, even though he will have to play behind Rudy Gobert, one of the best centers in the entire league. If he was drafted one year earlier, we could have watched him playing with Deandre Ayton and Williamson. We could still watch him in the future playing alongside or against these two. That would be awesome to see, to be honest.
