Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green and his girlfriend, Draya Michele, were spotted engaging in a heated altercation outside The Manner hotel in SoHo, New York City. Green and Michele were accompanied by two individuals who looked to defuse the situation, but the couple continued to argue in the early hours of Friday.

Green and Michele had been at Mert Alas’ New York Fashion Week 71 Gin party and exited the event around 2 a.m. It’s unclear what exactly caused this argument, which saw the Basketball Wives alum charge at her NBA boyfriend.

The 23-year-old Green appears to yell “I hate you” at the 40-year-old Michele. One of their friends can be heard pleading with them to stop and urging them to forgive each other. The spat reportedly continued for several blocks, however.

Green and Michele’s relationship has already proven to be controversial thanks to the 17-year age gap. While the couple has tried to ignore the outside noise, this incident just intensifies the spotlight on them.

Green first sparked rumors about dating Michele back in August 2023. It’s unclear when exactly they started dating, but we do know who took the first step. Green revealed on Whistle’s Relationship Quiz that he had slid into Michele’s DMs.

Less than a year after they were spotted together, Green and Michele welcomed a child, a girl named Lyght, on May 12, 2024. While she is the Suns guard’s first child, that’s not the case for his girlfriend.

Michele welcomed her oldest son, Kniko Howard, in 2002 when she was just 17 years old. The fact that Green was also born in 2002 unsurprisingly caused a stir.

Michele had her second son, Jru, with her former fiancé, Orlando Scandrick, on April 8, 2016. The relationship with Scandrick, a former NFL player, fell apart, and here’s hoping this one doesn’t.

Green has also dealt with a big change this summer, as the Houston Rockets traded him to the Suns. He had spent the first four seasons of his NBA career with the Rockets, who had selected him with the second pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
