‘Fake Klay Thompson’ Gets A Call From Brooklyn Nets Owner To Play For The Team After Being Banned For Life From Chase Center: “They Don’t Want You In Golden State. Come Play In Brooklyn!”

2 Min Read

In the success of the Golden State Warriors over the last decade or so, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have arguably played the biggest role. The Splash Brothers changed the game with their incredible 3-point shooting ability.

This also led to the popularity of the two soaring through the heights. While Steph is the better player of the two, on his day, Klay Thompson can give any opposing defense a run for their money.

Klay also has one thing that even Curry doesn’t. Yes, we are talking about the incredibly real look-alike of the GSW superstar. We are sure you must have seen Fake Klay Thompson countless times on social media.

Fake Klay has been in several headlines over the last day or so. The reason for it was how he snuck into the Chase Center and got some shots up. Unfortunately, when he was caught by the Warriors’ security, he was escorted out of the stadium.

On top of that, he was also given a lifetime ban from the Chase Center. So we will probably never see him at a Warriors home game. But it seems like the Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai has given the impersonator a hilarious new opportunity via his Twitter account.

“They don’t want you in Golden State. Come play in Brooklyn! #FakeTampering.”

The Nets owner noted that “Daws” loved the fact that he was able to become an NBA player, albeit at the cost of getting a lifetime ban from the Chase Center.

Of course, he made sure to use a hilarious hashtag as well. So all the Nets fans out there, you might get to see Kevin Durant partner up with a new variant of Klay Thompson in the future.

As for the real Klay, he is preparing for Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals in hopes of winning this season’s championship.
