The Boston Celtics are going back to the NBA Finals after sweeping the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals with a 105-102 Game 4 win. NBA fans on social media gave the Celtics their well-deserved respect after this win, as they go to their second NBA Finals in three seasons.

Fans brought the brooms out for the sweep.

Fans poked fun at the Pacers complete inability to close out games even when they led going into the final minutes of three games in this series.

Fans mocked the Pacers for constantly capitulating under pressure.

Bill Simmons praised Andrew Nembhard for his contributions on Indiana’s behalf.

The Celtics deserve their respect for being able to fight through at the end of games to pull off the comebacks that they did.

Fans called this one of the most competitive sweeps ever.

Fans felt bad for the Pacers falling apart in late-game situations throughout this series.

The Celtics starting five carried the team to a great performance. Jaylen Brown led the team in scoring with 29 points and was named the Eastern Conference Finals MVP during the trophy ceremony. Jayson Tatum had an all-around game with 26 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists. Derrick White put up 16 points and five steals while Jrue Holiday had 17 points and nine rebounds.

The Pacers performed admirably without Tyrese Haliburton, with stand-in Andrew Nembhard going off for 24 points and 10 assists. Pascal Siakam had 19 points and 10 rebounds while T.J. McConnell had 15 points off the bench. Ultimately, they just didn’t have the talent or coaching expertise required to overcome a team as dominant as the Celtics.
