Fans React After Brooklyn Nets Co-Owner Almost Spilled Jay Z’s Drink

2 Min Read

Jay Z attended Brooklyn Nets’ game vs. the Miami Heat earlier this week, starring in a curious moment with the team’s co-owner. The rapper and businessman sat courtside to see Kevin Durant, James Harden and co. take on the Heat, in a game the Nets lost.

While the Nets struggled to get things going on the court, Jay Z, born Shawn Corey Carter, tried to have a good time. He attended the game with Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill and business partner OJ Juan, running into Nets’ co-owner Clara Wu Tsai.

This name must be unknown for most NBA fans, but Mrs. Clara is the wife of Joe Tsai, the billionaire Nets owner.

At some point, Clara almost spilled Carter’s drink. He maneuvered to keep the liquid in his glass, but it seemed like the lady didn’t realize she had nearly created a mess. That didn’t have any importance for the artists, as he kept talking with the lady as nothing had happened.

NBA fans reacted to videos of this situation. When one fan tried to warn people that they were talking about the Nets co-owner, others said that wasn’t an excuse to spill somebody’s drink. Others say she deserves respect and be called by her name, while others just made jokes about the situation.

This is normal for NBA fans. They always find a topic to debate, making something out of nothing. This was another case, but this discussion won’t end so quickly.

Meanwhile, the Nets returned to winning ways on Friday, beating the Indiana Pacers to get their third win of the season. James Harden is starting to look like his old self, and that’s great news for this team.

Joe Tsai keeps talking with Kyrie Irving, trying to find a solution to their dispute, but nothing has changed so far. Still, the Nets could be fine without the controversial point guard.
