Damian Lillard wore a Bucks jersey for his first NBA regular season game as a member of the franchise. The All-NBA guard didn’t disappoint, leading his team with 39 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in a win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Fans were ecstatic to see Lillard lead the team to this win as Milwaukee looks to dominate this season.

Fans were quick to notice how effortlessly Lillard has fit onto the Bucks next to Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Lillard will such a supporting cast is already making fans feel scared.

Many fans think Lillard could be considered the best point guard in the NBA by the end of the year because he’s finally on a good team.

Fans mocked everyone who thought the Bucks made a mistake by letting go of Jrue Holiday for Lillard.

Most neutral fans were overjoyed to see Dame at least get an opportunity on a winning franchise like the Bucks.

Giannis struggled during the game, making fans happy that they had a closer like Dame to win this contest.

Miami Heat fans were upset after seeing Dame play the way that he did.

The Bucks won tonight because of Lillard’s explosion, as most of the other players struggled to score. Giannis, in particular, managed just 23 points on 22 shots, while Khris Middleton scored just six points in 16 minutes of action.

The 76ers put up a great showing given James Harden wasn’t on the floor. They had four players contribute over 20 points on the night, with Tyrese Maxey leading the bunch with 31 points.

Joel Embiid had 24 points in an underwhelming performance but saw Kelly Oubre Jr. drop 27 points in his 76ers debut. Tobias Harris also had 20 points, but it wasn’t enough to outpace Lillard and the Bucks.

Damian Lillard Sent A Message With His Debut

After the high-profile switch Lillard made this summer, many wondered if he was past his prime and would fail in the East. This is just one game, but it does look like the point guard is ready to do what he did in Portland in a new city, even with a player like Giannis by his side.

Lillard made his feelings about playing on the Bucks known after the game, implying he’s ready to push for wins and only wins.

“I told you when I first came, I ain’t come here to waste my time.”

The Bucks have arguably one of the best closers in the NBA on their team now. Lillard showed that today by ensuring the Bucks remained in the mix when the 76ers looked to be running away with the game. He also sunk clutch three-pointers to seal this win for his squad, bringing a skill set nobody on the Bucks has.

Khris Middleton isn’t the same option he was after his recent injuries, and Giannis was never the player to take the ball for a final possession. Lillard is that guy and is going to deliver a lot of big moments in Milwaukee this year. Giannis is already comfortable with being the secondary star to Lillard on offense, so this partnership could yield fantastic results.
