The NBA schedule for next season is not out yet, but fans will be circling the first of two regular season games the Warriors and Wizards will tangle in. Poole will be on a mission to prove his worth to the rest of the league after being discarded by GSW after averaging 20.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists last season.

Were The Warriors Unfair To Jordan Poole?

Trading away a 23-year-old who can be a future All-Star is not a decision teams take lightly. Poole helped the franchise through the regular season but completely fell apart in the playoffs, ultimately averaging 8.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in their second-round loss to the Lakers.

Swapping Poole for the stability of Chris Paul is a tactical move, as it could be better for chemistry and also takes $30 million off the books when CP3 is a free agent next season.

The trade had to happen, with reports suggesting even Steve Kerr had enough of Poole. With a new backup guard on the roster, the team will be hoping that Draymond can reconcile his previous differences with CP and the pair get along for the 2023-24 season.
