The Boston Celtics demolished the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 2 of their second-round series to tie the series up before heading to Philadelphia for Games 3 and 4.

Joel Embiid had 15 points and 5 blocks in his first game back from injury after winning the 2023 NBA MVP award. Jaylen Brown led Boston with 25 points, and fans were shocked to see how one-sided this battle was.

Fans are already previewing the NBA’s most classic rivalry possibly rekindling in the Finals with the Celtics and Lakers.

Fans think the Celtic’s improved defensive aggression ultimately made the difference.

Jayson Tatum had an extremely rough night, and fans praised the consistent depth around him that has led to Boston’s success.

The Celtics offense found their groove tonight and it led to success.

Celtics fans were happy to see them be this dominant despite Tatum not being a factor in the win.

Jaylen Brown was the star man for Boston and fans praised his value as a tone-setter on both ends of the floor.

76ers fans think this loss may serve as motivation for the future and the team can protect their home court.

Jayson Tatum scored just 7 points in a terrible showing but had teammates like Malcolm Brogdon step up with 23 points. James Harden had a nightmarish followup to his Game 1 heroics, scoring just 12 points on 2/14 shooting tonight.

Can Philadelphia Still Pull Off The Upset Series Win?

The strength that the 76ers showed in Game 1 was encouraging for fans that thought Philly could actually win this series even with an injured Joel Embiid. But if James Harden has performances like he did tonight, the 76ers can never hope to be competitive. Embiid was clearly not at 100%, making fans wonder if he rushed back to return.

The 76ers have one of the stronger home courts in the NBA with a rabid and passionate fanbase. Given their rivalry with the Celtics, their energy will be turned up to the max for Game 3 in Philadelphia. Hopefully, that infectious energy can pass on to the players, and they come out with more passion than they did tonight in a game that was a blowout from the first quarter.
