Former Bulls Guard Ron Harper Michael Jordan: “He Is A Great Player, But Without His Role-Players, He Wouldn’t Have Won As Many Championships As He Had Won.”

Perhaps one of MJ’s biggest and most impressive accomplishments was going 6-0 in the NBA Finals. He was, and still is, a winner, and when it was time for him to step up, he always rose to the occasion.

But, according to his former teammate Ron Harper, he couldn’t have reached those heights without the help of his uber-talented supporting cast.

“MJ can close out any game. Scottie by his own mind was a great basketball player. Luke was a great player from Australia. We had Toni Kukoc from Croatia who was a great scorer, and you had Steve Kerr who was an excellent shooter. We had a pretty good basketball team there, and it was great to be on that team. MJ is a great player, but without his role-players, he wouldn’t have won as many championships as he had won.”

History often takes for granted the depth and talent of the 90s Bulls. Besides MJ, the team included guys like Steve Kerr, Dennis Rodman, Steve Kerr, Toni Kukoch, and, of course, Ron Harper.

As far as supporting talent goes, the Bulls were stacked. And while Jordan deserves credit for leading that pack and raising their potential, he probably wouldn’t have gone very far without them.

Indeed, the 90s Bulls might even be considered a “superteam” in today’s NBA.
