A Look At Felton Spencer’s NBA Career
After impressing everyone with his skills at Louisville, Felton Spencer was destined to be a lottery pick in the 1990 NBA Draft. The Minnesota Timberwolves showed trust in Spencer and used the sixth overall pick in the 1990 NBA Draft to welcome him to the team.
He spent three seasons with the Timberwolves before joining the Utah Jazz for the next chapter of his career. Spencer undoubtedly played the best basketball of his career while donning the Jazz jersey and became a starter for the Jazz during his time with the franchise.
Following his stint with the Jazz, Spencer played for the Orlando Magic, Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, and New York Knicks. After spending 12 seasons in the NBA, Felton Spencer retired at 34 years old after the 2001-02 NBA season. For his career, the Louisville native averaged 5.2 PPG, 5.4 RPG, and 0.3 APG.
