Giannis Antetokounmpo Admits LeBron James Is Still The Best Player In The World

In a December game against LeBron James and the Lakers, Giannis Antetokounmpo crowned himself “king” after hitting his fifth three-pointer of the night. It was a moment that would rock the basketball world, as it seemed Antetokounmpo was coming for the place LeBron James has held for so long.

Months later, after the globalization of a worldwide pandemic and the naming of Giannis as the MVP, the Greek Freak would begin the daunting task of leading his team through the playoffs. Needless to say, Giannis and the Bucks were unable to meet that goal, falling short in a huge upset loss against the Miami Heat.

It would be the Lakers, the LeBron-led Lakers, who would go on to win the Chip. Now, not even Giannis can deny that James is still very much on the basketball throne.

Giannis Antetokounmpo @ Cosmote TV: "Kobe told me to sacrifice if i want to win and be great. LeBron is the best in the world, MVP is another story, i can tell that he is the best and my idol, he is 17 years in the League".

Giannis is the 2x MVP, 4x All-Star, and the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. If there is anyone even close to taking over as the NBA’s premier player, it’s got to be him.

But to truly earn the level of greatness he seeks, he’ll have to do better where it counts. He has to win a title.

The Bucks, hopeful to help Antetokounmpo in that pursuit, have made a series of moves they feel will help them finally secure a ring. Now, Antetokounmpo has to prove it’s enough for him to win — maybe then, he can finally put on that crown.
