As one of the top basketball players on the planet, there aren’t many people out there more qualified to talk hoops than Giannis Antetokounmpo. And while it’s not every day that he shares some of his basketball wisdom, he clearly has a talent for teaching others the game.

This weekend, the Greek Freak went viral after he posted a video of him coaching young hoopers at a basketball camp. In the video, you can see a passionate Giannis teaching the basics of offensive play.

Giannis gave them pretty sound advice overall, and it’s exactly the way he plays on the court. During games, he pays close attention to detail and never allows himself to get lazy or move without purpose.

It can be hard to instill this mindset in young players, especially if they are still focused on avoiding mistakes and proving themselves as the best. For Giannis, however, it comes naturally to him, and it’s part of the reason he’s found so much success in his career so far.

Can Giannis Make Amends For Last Season’s Failures?

This summer, Giannis is coming off a massively crushing playoff loss. Somehow, his team (which sat at the top of the standings) lost in the first round to the 8-seeded Heat and there are still plenty of questions left unanswered.

But if we know anything about Giannis it’s that he never quits, and he’s sure to come back next season with something to prove.

“There’s no failure in sports,” said Giannis after the playoff loss. “There are good days and bad days, some days you’re able to be successful, and some days you’re not. Some days it’s your turn, some days it’s not your turn. That’s what sports is about, you don’t always win.”

We will see soon enough how Antetokounmpo rebounds from a crushing defeat, but in the meantime, there’s nothing wrong with him spreading his basketball knowledge to the next generation.

Who knows, maybe if things fall the right way, we might even see Giannis coach at the pro level when his career is all said and done.
