Giannis Antetokounmpo Takes A Shot At James Harden During All-Star Draft

During the 2020 NBA All-Star draft, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Hall of Famer Charles Barkley hilariously trolled Houston Rockets star, James Harden. While Antetokounmpo and LeBron James were picking their starters, Giannis found himself in a tricky position, with Harden, Kemba Walker and Trae Young as the last three players available.

That’s when Barkley asked Giannis if he wanted to draft “the dribbler,” referencing Harden. The reigning MVP responded by saying he wanted someone who passes the ball.

As it’s well known, Harden’s style of play is not liked by every player in the league. He’s one of the most ball-dominant players in NBA history, but that doesn’t fit with everybody around the league.

The Beard and the Greek Freak don’t have a rivalry, but Harden said a few times this past summer he should have won the MVP award over the Bucks’ star last season.

Antetokounmpo led the Bucks to the best record in the NBA last season. The now four-time All-Star averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists.

Harden, meanwhile, put up 36.1 points per game and scored at least 30 points in 32 straight games at one point in the season.

This year things aren’t different, as both players are once again competing for the MVP award, but just like last year, Giannis and his Bucks have a big advantage over Harden and the Rockets.
