• Giannis Antetokounmpo is having all the fun he can have before the start of a tough NBA season

• He appeared on YouTuber Jesser’s channel for a fun video

• He, Jesser, and a panel of judges decide who among six anonymous men is an active or former NBA player

Giannis Antetokounmpo was a special guest on popular YouTuber Jesser’s recent video where he and a panel of judges try to figure out who among six people with concealed identities is an NBA player. The player could be a legend, active, or out of the league.

Giannis first jokes about one of the contestants being Grant Williams due to his build. Throughout the episode, Giannis was asking some incredibly challenging questions to the contestants to figure out if they actually were in the NBA. If someone lied about a team they played for or the coaches they were under, Giannis was quick to sniff it out. One of the contestants even mistakenly said Mike Budenholzer was his favorite coach, prompting Giannis to ask more questions due to him playing under Bud for many years.

Antetokunmpo grilled the contestants on more topics such as their game-day routines, what they ate, and how they trained. He even said that one of the contestants could possibly be two-time NBA Champion Quinn Cook. Ultimately, he chose the wrong contestant as the NBA player. His initial instincts were correct, as Quinn Cook was the secret NBA player, but the game was lost as Cook had been eliminated by the group.

Jesser has previously done a similar video where Tracy McGrady was the secret NBA star.

This video format has been very popular on YouTube in recent years. Other major channels have done this with musicians and soccer stars, with Jesser being the only one to have done it with NBA players.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Revealed How to Guard LeBron James

During the video, Giannis was asked what it was like to guard LeBron James when one of the contestants vaguely said that LeBron was the hardest player they had ever guarded. Giannis pressed the contestant for a more elaborate response on how he’d stop James, the contestant said it was by forcing James to the left and forcing him to shoot.

When the panel asked Giannis if that was the game plan, his simple answer showed how much he respects LeBron.

“You can’t.”

To be fair, the contestant did say exactly what people would try to put on a game plan while trying to guard LeBron. Even if he’s unguardable, you have to do your best to limit his success.

Now that James is a better shooter and a more cerebral playmaker, it’s become harder, but we have seen teams form walls around the paint to keep James out and make him struggle to score. The 2011 Dallas Mavericks and the 2014 San Antonio Spurs would agree with that.

LeBron James Jokingly Predicted Giannis And Damian Lillard Would Team Up

Everyone jokes about LeBron, claiming he knew things would happen before they would. But we have video proof of him at the 2023 All-Star Weekend being shocked that Giannis chose Damian Lillard over Jrue Holiday in the All-Star Draft, something that has now extended to the actual teams they’re on.

“Giannis has changed this weekend. He always talks about loyalty, being loyal, and all that stuff. So I knew for sure his first pick was for sure going to be Jrue, so I don’t know what’s going on with Giannis. Okay, okay, messing my whole draft board up.”

Even though Holiday was traded to acquire Lillard, the Bucks never consulted Giannis so as to not put the former two-time MVP in a position where he has to be the one that ships Holiday away. Hopefully, this doesn’t backfire, as Holiday will be one of Lillard and the Bucks’ biggest rivals on the Celtics this season.
