“They have a playbook that they are only playing by, that they can only see. No one else gets to see this playbook but we’re being judged by everything that’s in this playbook, but we don’t know it.”

“There’s no open dialogue about what is appropriate and what’s not. We only find out after we f*** up and that’s unfair. That’s f*****g unfair you can’t do that,” he went on.

“Just words, phrases like he, she, it, they. We don’t f*****g know. How do we know? You’re making it up as you go and it’s not like there’s this dictionary of updates.”

He didn’t stop there. “They can technically make a straight man gay, by saying ‘you look like a gay guy’ … which is technically offensive to a straight man,” he reasoned, arguing that it should be an equal playing field. “Soon as I say something back that’s gay, I’m f****** canceled now.”

Arenas surely has his take on the LGBTQ+ community and over the course of his explanation added that people are still learning and are being canceled unjustly. He further stated that having an argument with someone from the community is “suicide” since they have “the whole dictionary.”

Gilbert Arenas Has Been Vocal About His Thoughts On All Things NBA And Off Of It

Like his thoughts on the LGBTQ community, Gilbert Arenas has been vocal on multiple topics, some of it not necessarily related to the NBA.

On the game front, he has been one of those players being honest about Ja Morant’s second gun incident on Instagram Live. He added that he would be more than happy to help the Memphis Grizzlies star in the aftermath of the incident, which saw the league suspend him for 25 games in the 2023-24 season.

Add to this his thoughts on players, former and new, and most topics that rivet the audience, and Arenas has had his two cents on them all.
