Gilbert Arenas recently appeared to have claimed that he knows NBA players who pay women up to $60,000 to just keep things between them quiet. So, when Arenas sat down for an interview with DJ Vlad, the 42-year-old was asked to shed some more light on that dynamic.

“That’s the going rate, for the most part,” Arenas said. “… When I say paid, listen, everyone thinks there is this thing called tricking, right? And if that’s what you want to call it then f*** it, call it whatever you want, but, for the most part, that’s why you don’t see NBA players in most of these situations that you see the rest of the world in, right?

“There’s no what sexual harassment claims, there’s no rape claims being given because most of the deals we have where these are go-get-it girls,” Arenas continued. “And most of these go-get-it girls are dealing with four or five players at the same time.

“The only time there’s an issue is she’s messing with two players and one player is let’s say he’s a superstar status, and she’s messing with a regular a** All-Star,” Arenas stated. “And he gets offended, right? Like, ‘He’s not even on the same status as me.'”

Arenas later clarified that the $60,000 that a woman receives is by combining what she gets from multiple players.

“The 60,000 was between three dudes, 20, 20, 20,” Arenas said. “… If she’s messing with three dudes, three max players, and they all paying her $20,000 a month, you’re good.”

Arenas had indeed suggested that Instagram models can get $60,000 a month from NBA players using this “strategy” that he suggested. He seems to want them to view it as a business that they run for some years, after which they can have a regular life.

Some might certainly view this as being rather crass, but I can’t say I am surprised Arenas suggested it. He also stated here that there is a certain type of woman that players will go after, who won’t cause much of a fuss and wouldn’t have a problem keeping things quiet.

Gilbert Arenas Said More Than 50% Of NBA Players’ Girlfriends Would Cheat On Them With Other Players

Women and NBA players is a topic that Arenas loves to talk about. While he dishes out hot takes about the games on a regular basis, he seems to enjoy talking about this subject a lot more. Last year, Arenas claimed that 70% of NBA players’ girlfriends would cheat on them with other players.

“70% of y’all girlfriends gonna sleep with another NBA player, while y’all dating so get that over you. She was a life that you are the bottom end of it. Right, there’s players on that team that you watched and admire, they watching and admire.”

“They had crushes on, they got crushes. If you is you, right? You know, there’s a Curry in the league that she been watching, and LeBron in the league that she been watching, got Jayson Tatum, she got Ja Morant. you on the road.”

“And Ja Morant hit through the DM. Trust me, brother. You gotta let it go.”

Arenas might well have been talking through experience there, from what he witnessed during his 11 seasons in the NBA. He says players just need to look the other way, as it is the norm.
