Golden State Warriors Want Draymond Green To Score More Next Season

The Golden State Warriors are absolutely stacked with talent. Obviously, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and James Wiseman are the best scorers on the roster, and they’re capable of dropping big numbers on any given night.

But next season, even with all three of those guys healthy, we can expect Draymond Green to be taking more shots.

Despite being more of a playmaker on the offensive end, Bob Meyers and Steve Kerr want him to be more aggressive in scoring the ball, as reported by Wes Goldberg and Drew Shiller.

With season averages of 7 points, 8.9 assists, and 7.1 rebounds per game on 44.7% shooting, Green obviously wasn’t really a go-to offensive option for his team in 2021.

But with Kevin Durant gone and the Dubs in need of more fire-power, they will need Dray to step up and become a consistent scorer both inside and on the perimeter.

Over the years, he has shown flashes of what he could do. And if he can become what the Warriors need him to be, it could reap some incredible rewards for the franchise.

Ultimately, we’ll have to wait and see what kind of team Golden State will become next year. If they stay healthy, though, it’s hard to imagine them being too far out of contention.
