If The Portland Trail Blazers Win One More Game, Damian Lillard Will Have Successfully Kept His Promise To One Blazers Fans

Blazer's Edge

Damian Lillard is obviously one of the best in the game. He can do it all when it comes to the basketball court.

And while the Blazers have had a roller-coaster type of season (with plenty of ups and downs), Lillard has the opportunity on Sunday to keep a promise he made to one Blazers fan back in April.

Lillard essentially promised, for the sake of the fan’s financial future, to win at least 42 games this season. Amazingly, with a record of 41-30, Portland is just one away from that mark, meaning Sunday’s finale will determine whether or not they reach that milestone.

Of course, Sunday also has much bigger implications for the team. If they can win, they secure a spot in the playoffs as a sixth seed, successfully avoiding the play-in tournament.

If they lose, however, (and the Lakers win) it means they’ll have to fight through an intense match just to keep their playoff hopes alive.

It’s obviously an enormous game for the Blazers, which will have huge implications if they lose.

The pressure is on them, and specifically Dame, to get over the edge lead his team to victory. A fan’s money, and the team’s playoff future, are on the line.
