Isiah Thomas Picks His 5 Favorite Players Ever

2 Min Read

NBA fans have learned a lot about their favorite players in recent days, including their own favorite players from the current and the old days. The latest addition to this list is Detroit Pistons legend Isiah Thomas, who was invited to the most recent episode of Knuckleheads with Darius Miles and Quentin Richardson.

Thomas, a two-time NBA champion, played against some of the best players in history while the Pistons were trying to win the championship and during the runs they had to win it all, creating a big rivalry with the GOAT Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls. Still, that didn’t prevent him from picking MJ as one of his favorite players.

When asked about his top 5, he went with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Julius Irving.

He made a terrific list, with five players who left a mark in the game. That starting five would be extremely hard to beat, but Thomas did defeat them individually at some point in his career. There isn’t much to add about their quality and what they did with their teams in the association, as soon as you hear those names, you know you’re about to talk about greatness.

Thomas did become one of the greatest players in his position, earning 12 calls to the All-Star game, winning two championships and even taking home the MVP trophy of the 1990 Finals. He was one of the most hated players during his time with the ‘Bad Boys’, but there is no doubt that he is a complete idol for the city of Detroit.
