Ja Morant has become one of the most popular players in the NBA. Morant has been sensational in his third NBA season, playing at an extremely high level, and becoming one of the best point guards in the NBA today. But while most of the league has been taking notice, some fans aren’t too thrilled about Morant’s rise to the top.

One NBA fan on Twitter slammed Ja Morant recently, for being too arrogant, and thinking highly of himself. The fan said that Morant talks too much, and he is hoping that he and the Memphis Grizzlies suffer a first-round exit so that Morant becomes more humble in the future.

I used to really like him but I’m starting to dislike him more and more… he rates himself way to highly and talks way wayyy too much… hopefully the first round exit he’s gonna face in the playoffs clears his head a bit and gets him of his little i’m that guy cloud9

Morant wasn’t going to take it lying down, and quickly shut down the fan. He pointed out how ridiculous it was that this fan was annoyed with a player for being confident in himself and his team. He then told the fan that he was goofy, suggesting that he wasn’t going to pay any more attention to him.

i ain't come in the league to be liked nor do i care to be liked. especially by you.

imagine disliking somebody because they're confident. imagine disliking somebody because they're not afraid to voice their opinion. 🤔😂

you goofy ash dawg 🤡 https://t.co/moBJkoyvOh

Clearly, Morant was not having any of it. Ja is set to be an All-Star for the first time this season, and even be a starter. Morant knows about the impending All-Star selection and claimed that he feels that he deserves it. It was this comment that drew the ire of the fan above.

Is this All-Star selection the first in many for Ja Morant? Many people feel he is in the MVP conversation this season, and because of his sensational play, the Grizzlies are considered one of the dark horses in the NBA playoffs this year.
