Jalen Rose: ‘Ben Simmons Plays Better Without Joel Embiid’

2 Min Read

The Philadelphia 76ers ended a 4-game losing streak against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday and continued their great pace against a big rival in the Boston Celtics. On Thursday night, the Sixers dominated Boston with Ben Simmons having a terrific night.

Although they’re facing the absence of Joel Embiid, that doesn’t seem to be a problem for Philly, who left a great image in their last two games. Simmons has taken the reins of the team and he couldn’t look better. Ben has improved his game in the last couple of days and ESPN’s Jalen Rose claims he has an explanation for this situation.

According to him, Embiid’s absence makes Simmons play better basketball. Rose explains that Simmons could take advantage of this and become a power guard who attacks the rim and finishes it. With Embiid out of the picture, it looks like the Aussie has more freedom to move and do his things.

That has served the team so far, as Philly has taken down two big teams.

It’s been a topic of discussion that the Sixers will have to decide between Simmons and Embiid in the future, which raises a lot of questions in the association. This is not an easy decision as the two players have a huge potential.

We don’t know what’s going to happen with these two. As for now, we have to enjoy their quality whenever we watch them together on the floor.
