The COVID-19 pandemic is still going on across the globe, with the virus still affecting many people’s lives. There is no doubt that it is affecting the NBA as well, with many players currently sidelined due to health and safety protocols. It seems as though more have joined that number today.

Adrian Wojnarowski has recently revealed that Nets players James Harden and Bruce Brown have both entered protocols, leaving the Nets with 8 players being available for tonight’s game.

Nets guard James Harden and Bruce Brown have entered Covid protocols, lifting Nets total to seven players.

There is no doubt that losing James Harden is tough for the Brooklyn Nets. He is a player that runs the offense and provides supplementary scoring for the team, and he’s definitely an important cog in their machine, especially with mercurial point guard Kyrie Irving still sitting out games. Bruce Brown missing time also means the Nets have one less good defender available.

Hopefully, James Harden is able to recover soon. Players generally have to test negative twice in a 24 hour period or be sidelined for 10 days to be able to play. There’s no question though, that the athletes’ health takes priority in this situation, and it’s important to ensure that they are healthy before playing.
