Life as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers is starting to get better for James Harden and on Tuesday, he took to X to send out somewhat of a cryptic message.

“I’m not use to sympathy nobody gotta feel for me, but Imma stay on top of every dollar this s*** real money.”

I am not sure if there were many who had any kind of sympathy toward Harden. He was just getting blasted from all corners for the Clippers being 0-5 with him in the lineup, but things are starting to get better now.

Harden made a huge four-point play in the dying moments of the game against the Houston Rockets on Friday night to help the Clippers end their losing streak. They then followed that up with a crushing 124-99 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night and seem to be trending in the right direction.

James Harden Fired Back At Mavs Broadcaster For Viral Rant

One of the most brutal takedowns of Harden during those dark days came from Brian Dameris. The Mavericks announcer went on an astonishing rant on Harden, where he called out the 10-time All-Star for being the real problem on the teams that he’s been on. Harden fired back at the broadcaster as he felt it was disrespectful.

“He doesn’t know me or the situation,” said James. “That would be f*cked up if I went at him and started being disrespectful to him but I can’t. They don’t know anything. They just go off what they see on social media or hearsay.”

“I don’t know exactly what he said, but I pay that sh*t no mind,” Harden said. “I do a really good job at ignoring the noise because it doesn’t affect me. It’s just people talking. I guarantee that if you put whoever is talking in this situation, it wouldn’t be beneficial for them. That’s my mindset, but my focus is getting wins.”

It’d only be natural for him to be upset about someone going on a viral rant like that. Dameris made some good points, though, and if this Clippers experiment fails, then everyone is going to point the finger at Harden.

The 34-year-old has to be on his best behavior and ensure that he does everything within his powers so that this ship doesn’t end up sinking.

Russell Westbrook May Have Saved Harden And The Clippers

While you could point to a lot of reasons why the Clippers seem to have turned things around now, the biggest one has to be Russell Westbrook requesting to come off the bench. It just wasn’t working with him and Harden being starters and you felt one of them had to make way.

Many were calling for Harden to be sent to the bench, but Westbrook did it voluntarily to ensure there would be no drama. His decision has certainly helped Harden, as his numbers have improved a fair bit.

After averaging 15.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.2 steals over his first five games, Harden has put up 18.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.0 steals over his last two. Everything seems to be coming into place now with this move and Westbrook deserves a lot of credit for it. It’s a long shot, but if the Clippers do end up winning it all, then he’d deserve a pat on the back.
