Jaylen Brown is now an NBA champion and a Finals MVP and he chose to celebrate in a manner that Michael Jordan would be proud of. Days after helping the Boston Celtics win it all, Brown headed to a casino to play roulette and decided to show off his Finals MVP trophy while he was there.

I just hope Brown didn’t end up having to give up that trophy to pay off gambling debts! Jokes aside, the 27-year-old has earned the right to celebrate in whichever way he wants.

Brown was excellent in the 2024 NBA Playoffs for the Celtics. He won Eastern Conference Finals MVP by averaging 29.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game, as the Celtics swept the Indiana Pacers.

Then in the NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks, Brown averaged 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game. The three-time All-Star excelled in the first three games of the series, in particular, and was a big reason why the Celtics went up 3-0 before closing out the series in five games.

It was just a year ago, that Brown had hit one of the lowest points of his career. He had struggled mightily against the Miami Heat in the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals and was a big reason why the Celtics lost in seven games.

The team still gave Brown a supermax extension in the offseason and his critics termed that a mistake. Well, he proved them all wrong in 2024 in some style.

Jayson Tatum Is Having The Time Of His Life Too

Jayson Tatum has also been living it up after winning the title. While Brown headed to the casino, Tatum appeared to have gone to a golf course, where he was delighted to hear fans call him a “champ.”

“Everybody at the golf course called me ‘champ’ today, I f***ing loved it. Can’t wait for the parade tomorrow.”

Tatum and the Celtics had gone to Miami after winning the title and like his partner-in-crime, he was showing off a trophy too.

If there were any Heat fans around, they certainly wouldn’t have been all that happy to see that. The Celtics didn’t stick around in Miami for too long, though, as they had to make their way back to Boston for the parade.

On Thursday night, Tatum decided to stop by Strega, an Italian restaurant and steakhouse located in Boston’s North End. There, he further endeared himself to Celtics fans around the globe by buying shots for everyone present at the establishment.

That was a fine gesture indeed and something tells me the parties aren’t going to stop anytime soon in Boston. Fans are also expected to be out in droves for the parade, which is being held today. It is a duck boat parade, which will start on Causeway Street and end at the Hynes Convention Center.
