Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss hasn’t had a great time over the last 2 seasons when it comes to interacting with the Laker Nation.

After failing to construct a competent enough team around their superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Buss has been the subject of various fan attacks over the last 2 years. It seems those fan attacks spilled over on her Twitter DMs, as she has revealed that fans have been harassing her by messaging her.

A LeBron James fan shared a screenshot of Jeanie Buss asking him to stop sending hate toward her over DM, claiming that he was just thanking her for trading Russ. However, Buss shared another screenshot calling her the worst owner in sports while pleading with fans to stop their ‘pretend GM trade BS.’

Here is an example of the harassing messages. As I’ve said on this platform before, everyone is entitled to their opinion so I am not arguing about that. Its just that I don’t want my DM’s to be full of your pretend GM BS trade suggestions that’s all. pic.twitter.com/oaMLmeEUsG

No matter what a fan feels about the ownership of their franchise, it’s seldom a reason to personally attack the owner over Twitter. Buss showed what she’s been dealing with in terms of fan attacks, and hopefully, it subsides now that the team is looking better.

Has Jeanie Buss Salvaged This Season?

The Lakers made a blockbuster move to trade Russell Westbrook and a protected first-round pick for Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and D’Angelo Russell. The only game the squad has played fully healthy was a dominant win over the New Orleans Pelicans, encouraging fans for their future.

The franchise can’t afford to drop more games over their last 23 matchups this season, with the franchise hoping to win at least 15 to solidify a playoff spot, if not a top 6 seed. They’ll be optimistic about their chances of qualifying for the play-in. The focus now will be to enter playoff form right away and show the league why they should’ve never been underestimated.
