The Golden State Warriors have made it back to the NBA Finals, and there’s no doubt that this has been a great bounce-back year for the team, after two years of missing the playoffs. They go into the Finals as the favorites to win the 2022 NBA championship.

Warriors governor Joe Lacob has recently claimed that he thinks that the Golden State Warriors will beat the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, as they are the “better team”. However, he also added that the matchup isn’t “going to be easy”, and claimed that the series is “going to be a big battle”. Tim Kawakami of The Athletic relayed the news.

“I think I want it more now because this is considered a great matchup if you’re an NBA fan,” Lacob said. “I think it’s going to be a very interesting matchup. I think it’s going to be really hard. …

“I think we’ll win. I think we’re better. I believe in our coach and I believe in our roster. But I don’t think it’s going to be easy at all. It’s going to be a big battle.”

There is no doubt that the Golden State Warriors are a well-rounded team on both ends of the floor with an elite superstar in Stephen Curry. They have proven players who have won championships in the past, and perhaps we’ll see them add a fourth championship to their resumes at the end of the playoffs.

As Joe Lacob mentions, beating the Boston Celtics won’t be easy. They are a good team, and Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are among the best forwards in the league. They have also been a top-tier defensive team during the regular season, and have managed to defeat multiple superstars like Jimmy Butler, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Kevin Durant on their way to the Finals. This series will make for some exciting basketball, and most fans can’t wait for the Finals to start.
