John Starks Says He’d Pick Michael Jordan Over LeBron James In Hypothetical Draft

2 Min Read

The GOAT debate hasn’t been as hot as this year after Michael Jordan released his 10-part docu-series ‘The Last Dance’ back in April. The Chicago Bulls legend reminded everybody why he is considered the greatest player of all time but some people still make the case for LeBron James as the greatest to ever do it. This has been a recurrent topic in the league in recent times and everybody wants to give their opinion on the matter.

Former New York Knicks guard John Starks, who played against Jordan, gave his two pennies on this topic, explaining it’s hard to compare LeBron and Jordan given their differences in style of play and the eras where they play.

“I think you can’t compare the two because they’re two totally different players,” Starks told Fansided. “Obviously LeBron is six-eight and 260-pounds. He’s more, and people always say, he’s more like a Magic Johnson, but more athletic, in that sense. Michael’s just a killer, basically. His wheel and his athleticism and what made him so special, and I tell people this, he was probably one of the most well-balanced athletes out there on the court.”

He was asked who he’d pick between LeBron and Jordan and the answer was pretty clear for him.

“No question Michael,” Starks said. “I always say if your life depended on it and you had him or LeBron taking the last shot, which one would you want to take the last shot? A majority of people say Michael, so that’s how I will put it.”

MJ is that dude and even though you say LeBron is the GOAT, the biggest winner in NBA history is Michael Jordan and nobody can change that. Even Starks, who had big duels with His Airness has no doubt that he’d pick MJ over any other player.
