Jordan Poole spent four seasons with the Golden State Warriors. He was traded to the Washington Wizards for Chris Paul earlier this summer.

Poole may longer be a member of the Warriors, but he still knows how to respect his former teammates. During his introductory press conference, Jordan Poole crowned Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson as the two greatest shooters of all time.

“Those are the two greatest shooters of all time, in my opinion, personally,” Poole said. “And it’s just things that you learn in practice, in the game, on the road that you wouldn’t be able to learn not being in the mix, and I’m thankful for that, grateful for that.”

He added: “Also built a relationship to where I can ask them, I can text Steph, I can text Klay. I can call them and just have a conversation. So, that doesn’t leave that doesn’t go anywhere. If anything, I just know the plays that they run.”

It was earlier reported that Jordan Poole left on bad terms with team veterans such as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Despite those rumors, Poole showed respect to Curry and Thompson.

He averaged 20.4 PPG, 2.7 RPG, and 4.5 APG during the 2022-23 NBA season. Poole could be a valuable addition to the rebuilding Wizards. He was welcomed to Washington by U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.

Stephen Curry Wished Good Luck To Jordan Poole

Regardless of what terms Jordan Poole left the Golden State Warriors, he still helped the team in winning the 2022 NBA Championship.

Stephen Curry understands that, and following Jordan Poole’s trade to the Wizards becoming official, the four-time NBA champion wished his former teammate good luck for his next chapter.

“I appreciate the four years brother,” Curry said. “You’re a champion. You grew up right in front of everybody’s face in terms of that first year was rough, a lot of injuries. Just trying to find your way, going to G-league and coming back and helping us finish 15-5 down the stretch of that second year. Us winning a championship in the third year. And, fighting till the end this past year.

“So, can’t wait to see you blossom big fella. Can’t wait to see you shine in your own situation. Just looking forward to competing and obviously we’re a fan of everything you’ve become. Good luck to you!”

Getting such words of appreciation from one of the best players of all time must be great for Poole. He will be the primary option on an NBA team for the first time in his career, and it’ll be exciting to see how he’ll entertain fans in Washington.
