The Warriors suffered an abysmal defeat to the Toronto Raptors recently losing by an astounding 53 points. The Raptors are a team that is 19-30, and for the Warriors, it will be a defeat they will want to forget. While the Warriors were without Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, that situation doesn’t excuse a 50 point loss for a team that is aspiring to make the playoffs.

Some people have put the blame for the blowout on the coach, Steve Kerr. A team that is being coached by a 3-time champion coach shouldn’t be getting beaten that badly. Kendrick Perkins has recently blasted Steve Kerr and put his coaching into question.

I’m starting to question Steve Kerr coaching because when his “Superstars” don’t play the team struggle to compete let alone win a game!!! IMHO Carry on…

It is unfortunate that players were out with injury, and losing the focal point of your team in Stephen Curry definitely hurts. But every game is important when fighting for the playoffs, and this was a loss that was unacceptable if you’re trying to compete. Hopefully, Steve Kerr can figure out a way to make this roster click, as they have talented players that aren’t doing well.

To be clear, that loss was to blame on everyone involved. But to some extent, it does fall on coaching. While Steve Kerr’s achievements as a coach are terrific, perhaps there is more he could do to get the best out of this roster and help the Warriors make a run before the playoffs.
