For every team that LeBron James has played for in the league, he has won an NBA Championship for them. No matter the cost, James has always delivered results with the teams that he has represented throughout his career,
Apart from winning rings, his career has been great in terms of making the NBA Finals or collecting individual accolades in his career. But his stint with the Lakers isn’t going that well.
Of course, he won an NBA Championship with the Lakers in 2020. Apart from that, his time with the Purple and Gold hasn’t been that great. He has missed the playoffs twice and was once eliminated in the first round of the postseason.
In a recent episode of ‘The Shop,’ James seemingly threw shade at his fellow Lakers teammates. NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins further decoded James’ message and believes it was directed at Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, and the entire Lakers roster.

.@kendrickperkins says LeBron was sending a message with his comments on "The Shop" 👀
"He is sending a message not only to the Lakers and Rob Pelinka to say, 'Hey, let's improve this roster' … but he's talking to Anthony Davis, he's talking to Russell Westbrook." pic.twitter.com/jYP4RAHs7N

“It’s July, we are talking about a guy entering Year 20, he is sending a message not only to the Lakers and Rob Pelinka to say, ‘Hey, let’s improve this roster, I don’t have time to waste,’ he is talking to Anthony Davis, he’s talking to Russell Westbrook.
Because if they don’t make moves, now all of a sudden, you have some what a Big 3 and LeBron is saying, ‘Damn it, I’m going to come in and do my part, AD, I need you to work on your body and be healthy. Russell Westbrook, I need you to work on your game and come in and learn how to play without the ball in your hands and be more efficient. So, is he sending a message to the Lakers and his teammates? Hell, yeah, he was,'”
LeBron James is ready to enter the 20th season of his NBA career, and he has literally spent half of his career in the NBA Finals, with 10 trips to his name.
For a player who is that used to success, missing the playoffs must have been very hard to handle. Keeping that in mind, LeBron would certainly want his teammates to give their very best in each game, regardless of the outcome. After all, LeBron is not getting any younger.
