Kendrick Perkins On DeMarcus Cousins: “Big DeMarcus Showed Me Enough When He Got Extended Minutes… He’s Capable Of Being A 20-10 Guy… Might Be Wise For Lakers To Pick Him Up.”

2 Min Read

DeMarcus Cousins has had a tough few years where he’s had a string of injuries. But when he’s healthy, he is capable of being an extremely dominant center in the NBA. DeMarcus Cousins used to be a walking double-double, and this season, he has had stretches where he looked like the Cousins of old. DeMarcus Cousins could still be amazing in the right role this season, and perhaps he could show the world that he’s fully healthy.

One of the big believers in DeMarcus Cousins is Kendrick Perkins. Perkins has spoken out after it was revealed that the Houston Rockets would be parting ways with Cousins. Perkins seems to think that Cousins can return to dominance. He also suggests that the Lakers should pick him up which makes sense, as Cousins provides great depth to their roster.

It is true that one of the best centers in the league doesn’t simply lose his skills. Cousins could still be an effective player, and some of his performances have given the hope that he could be a starter again. When he is fully healthy, Cousins is an absolute force. It is good to see Kendrick Perkins show support to a big man who needs to find a new destination. If DeMarcus Cousins can consistently be good on the offensive end, then he would be a great player on any contending team.

It remains to be seen where DeMarcus Cousins ends up, but hopefully, it is in a place he can showcase his abilities. Many people still believe in him, and Kendrick Perkins is one of those people.
