Wiz Khalifa Tells The Story Of The Time Kevin Durant Ditched Him At The Club: “KD Was Like, ‘Bro, I’m Going To See You Later, Yo.’”

In an appearance on Instagram Live Thursday night, world-renowned rapper Wiz Khalifa took some time to celebrate the release of the “Taylor Gang compilation” project.

Amidst a series of different topics and subjects, an interesting (and hilarious) story about Nets superstar Kevin Durant came to light. Apparently, Wiz was invited to a particular club by Durant. They went together and, once they got there, Wiz was initially turned away by the bouncers, which led to him getting abandoned by KD, who proceeded to head inside.

“Kevin Durant, that’s the homie from back in the day. You remember when you left me outside the club?” the rapper said with a joint in hand. “Yeah, man, he left me outside the club. We was ’bout to get in the club and they looked at him and they (presumably the bouncers) looked at everybody he was with, and they was like, ‘Y’all can get in but he can’t.’ [Durant] was like, ‘Bro, I’m going to see you later, yo.'”

It sounds like an extremely humbling moment for Wiz, but he insists there weren’t any hard feelings — even as it was happening.

“But what I did, though … I got back, right? And I came back in the club and I met him in there, you know what I’m saying,” Wiz said. “’Cause I’m not no slouch, you feel me? No love lost, playa … It’s all good. Don’t even trip. It’s not your fault.”

Durant sounds like a pretty chill dude to hang with off the court, even though he may not be the most liked athlete on it.

Of course, it doesn’t mean he’ll turn down good time if you happen to get turned away at the club — because he can be just as cold in his party life as he is on the basketball court.

Wiz, unfortunately, found that out the hard way.
