Kendrick Perkins On The Brooklyn Nets: “Well I’ve Seen Enough… Kevin Durant And Kyrie Irving Are About To Be A Damn Problem.”

2 Min Read

In his first bit of action since going down with an Achilles tear in 2019, Kevin Durant looked surprisingly sharp, dropping 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks in just 23 minutes of action.

Kyrie, who hasn’t played since March, also performed extremely well, scoring 18 points and 4 assists on 7-of-9 shooting.

Needless to say, it was an ideal start for the Nets and a bit of a wake-up call for the NBA community. On Twitter, ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins admitted the pair is going to be a serious problem this upcoming season…

As New York’s newest duo, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant became teammates last summer on a Nets team that hasn’t won a Championship since the 1970s.

As two of the biggest personalities in basketball, many question if the stars will be a distraction to their team. Already, we’ve seen Kyrie’s recent spat with the media become front-page news. Might other controversies play out over the course of the upcoming season?

Whatever the case, the Nets looked good tonight, which has to feel good for fans who have been eager to see how their team would perform if 100% healthy. Their two stars looked healthy, they looked ready, and they looked hungry.

No doubt, Kyrie and KD struck some fear in the hearts of many tonight.
