Following Milwaukee’s fifth straight loss on Thursday night, concern and doubt are starting to creep in for the Bucks and their franchise star, Giannis Antetpokounmpo.
In a tweet following the Bucks’ blowout loss to Toronto, ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins sent out a highly controversial opinion, suggesting that Pascal Siakam is a more skilled player than Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Siakam is more skilled than Giannis!!! Don’t @ me

Needless to say, the tweet didn’t fly with most fans, and it wasn’t long before the post became flooded with criticism.

I hate to be that guy but I’m going to @ you. Siakham is not more skilled than Giannis that’s why he gets locked down in the playoffs. What’s his go to move to get a bucket ?

It should be noted that “more skilled” isn’t synonymous with “better player.” By saying a certain guy is “more skilled’ than another simply means he’s more well-rounded and has more in his bag.
Pascal is certainly a very good player, and he does a little bit of everything on both ends of the floor. But, when it comes right down to it, does he do anything better than Giannis besides shoot?
It’s an arguable position, to be sure, and Giannis’ team is struggling immensely right now. Until he is able to lead his team to the Finals, he might never earn the respect and reputation of a true generational talent.
