The Brooklyn Nets have officially been eliminated from the playoffs. That is definitely far from the outcome that was desired by the team and its start, as at the start of the season, many viewed the Brooklyn Nets as championship contenders.

One of the differences between the start of the season and now is that the Brooklyn Nets previously had James Harden on the roster. They have since traded James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers for a Ben Simmons-centered package. However, when James Harden was on the roster, many viewed them as the best team in the league.

Kevin Durant was recently asked about whether he feels any regrets about the former Nets superteam with James Harden and Kyrie Irving. Durant stated that “s*it happens” and added that now it’s about getting better as a team and not looking back.

No regrets. Sh*t happens. No crying over spilled milk. It’s about how we can progress and get better from here… We’ve been through a lot this year. Everybody in the organization knows what we went through. No time to feel regret or be too pissed off. It’s about how can we find solutions to get better… For us we know what our mistakes were, and we’re trying to turn them into strengths… Shit just played out the way it played

There is no doubt that the Brooklyn Nets superteam was one of the more prominent failed superteams in the modern era. It is unfortunate that injuries prevented them from winning a title, but that’s part of the game.

No matter what though, this is a good approach from Kevin Durant. Kyrie Irving has announced that he plans to return to the Brooklyn Nets, so between him and Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets will have a good foundation to build on.
