Kevin Durant Plays Down Chris Paul And Lakers Rumors With A Single Comment

2 Min Read

Kevin Durant is not fond of the possibility that Chris Paul goes play for the Los Angeles Lakers next season. Paul has been linked with a move to Los Angeles, either with Lakers or Clippers, and these rumors have been making more noise in the last couple of days. It was reported that CP3 wants to continue his career in Los Angeles or New York, which has left fans wondering where he’s going next.

Lakers fans are not shy about their attempts to lure players to their city, as we saw with Bradley Beal before, but this time they’re trying to get Paul at any cost. Recently, one fan took to Instagram to make the case for the Lakers as Paul’s next team in the association. This person claimed that his game would’ve been awesome with LeBron James and Anthony Davis’ while stating that a championship with LA would be the last step for him to become a Hall of Famer. Pretty bold.

As to that, Kevin Durant couldn’t help but reply, playing down that narrative explaining that CP3 is already a Hall of Famer.

KD has a point here. CP3 is at least a top 10 point guard of all time and even though he hasn’t made the Finals yet, he has shown over and over his quality on the court. Perhaps joining LeBron and Davis will help him get that NBA ring, but not winning a championship won’t exclude him from the hall of immortals.

So, if you’re a Lakers fan and have this mindset, be careful because Kevin Durant will be ready to shut it down.
