Kevin Durant was recently seen at rap superstar Drake’s house, enjoying a beverage and playing football. The former NBA champion was having a good time, with music playing around him and engaging in good conversation. KD looked very relaxed at The Embassy, Drake’s massive Toronto mansion.

Durant and Drake have a long-standing friendship with each other and have been spotted together on numerous occasions. While Drake famously talked trash to Durant during the 2019 NBA Finals between the Raptors and the Warriors, Drake also encouraged the Raptors fans to cheer for Durant when he sustained a season-ending injury in the series.

On top of that, Durant was also in the music video for Drake’s hit song ‘Laugh Now, Cry Later’. The two consider each other good friends. Durant has been reclusive during this offseason, rarely being spotted outside.

He was hilariously seen working on his jump shot at the club a few weeks ago. Other than that, he was seen working out with Chet Holmgren and Bol Bol ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics. But aside from this, Durant has stayed away from the public eye since the Suns were swept in the first round of the 2024 Playoffs by the Timberwolves.

Despite not making many public appearances, Durant’s name has been in the news the last few weeks, as he has been linked with a trade away from the Phoenix Suns. Stephen A. Smith suggested that the Suns would consider a trade for Durant, as they are in a terrible position with their future.

Despite Rumors, Suns Stay Committed To Kevin Durant

Phoenix Suns owner Matt Ishbia, however, shut any such rumors down. In a post on X, Ishbia noted that the Suns are not going to be splitting up their big three of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, and will build their roster next season to try and win an NBA championship.

“NBA Draft night is the best. Everyone talks about the drama and storylines, some are right and some are just wrong. My turn. Phoenix loves Kevin Durant and Kevin Durant loves Phoenix, and we are competing for a championship this year because we have the team to do it. Gotta love draft night! Go Suns.”

The Rockets have been linked to Kevin Durant in recent weeks, after they completed a deal with the Nets to return their draft picks from the James Harden trade in exchange for all the Suns picks the Nets got last year in exchange for KD.

They may use those picks as a bargaining chip to land Durant. While unlikely, fans should keep an eye on the Suns to see if a move materializes.

Durant was great for the Suns last year, despite injuries plaguing the team. He played 75 games last season, averaging 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. But the embarrassing sweep in the first round of the playoffs didn’t sit well with fans. Durant will be hungry to prove the critics wrong next season, regardless of where he ends up.
