Ja Morant has quickly become one of the NBA’s most popular players this year. The former Rookie Of The Year has been in the form of his life in his third season in the NBA and has been playing at an All-Star level. Some people, including Kendrick Perkins, believe that he is a candidate for the MVP award this season.

Morant is quickly winning people over. One fan even tried to dap him up after a Grizzlies game like they were best friends. But Ja is starting to be more selective of which fans he wants to support him. During a game against the Golden State Warriors, a young fan tried to high-five Morant after a great play.

But Morant noticed that he was wearing a Stephen Curry jersey. And so, he refused to give him a high five and even stared him down. Morant explained after the game that he didn’t like that the fan had a Stephen Curry jersey on and said that he would be happy to exchange his jersey in exchange for his own jersey.

And now, it appears that kid made good on Morant’s offer. The Memphis Grizzlies recently announced that they would be willing to take a jersey of any opposition player in the NBA in exchange for a Grizzlies jersey of Ja Morant or Jaren Jackson Jr. One of the first people to wait in line for that jersey was the kid that got stared down by Ja Morant.

This kind of incident just goes to show how popular Ja Morant is now becoming in the NBA. Morant is easily on the road to being a fan favorite. And the leap he has taken in his game over this season has been truly incredible. Morant could go on to become the face of the NBA if he keeps on this trajectory.
