Klay Thompson Gives Life Advice To Fans In Chipotle

2 Min Read

It’s been about two years since the last time we saw Klay Thompson light up an NBA basketball court.

And while both the Warriors and the world have missed his presence, he hasn’t been completely out of the public eye.

Recently one fan was lucky enough to catch him in the middle of a Chipotle run, where he kindly asked Klay some questions about life.

Thompson gave a wise and well thought out response:

“Just be yourself. Be patient because it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon,” the Warriors guard shared. “Be original, and just stick to your core values. Don’t measure your success based off what other people do. Everyone is at their own pace. It’s not about the material thing, it’s about inner peace and doing something you’re passionate about.”

Klay has been through a lot over these past few years. Suffering two major injuries back-to-back is enough to end any athlete’s career.

For Thompson, though, he’s out here living his best life and following his own advice. Next season, he is expected to return to the court and, no matter what happens, you can bet Klay will not be taking any moment for granted.

Thompson, 31, will have the chance to compete for another title next season alongside Steph Curry and Draymond Green.
